Doug Buranen
Owner & President of Operations
Doug brings more than 25 years of electrical experience to DB Electric. He holds License #13531 as a Licensed Master Electrician and maintains certifications in CPR, Scissor Lift and Boom Lift operation, EM 385 Federal Government standards, and SSHO safety.
Doug founded DB Electric out of his passion for the electrical trade and dedication to high standards. Today, he oversees project management, estimating, invoicing, and scheduling. One of his proudest accomplishments has been building a strong team that ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish.
When he’s not leading the crew, Doug enjoys playing sports, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Fun Fact: Doug can spin a basketball on his finger.
Favorite Tool: Oscillator.

Eric Chance
Field Operations Manager
Eric has 8 years of industry experience and specializes in troubleshooting, managing crews, and providing custom electrical layout designs for both residential and commercial projects. He has successfully led large government electrical projects across Maryland and Delaware, including the Joint Base Myers/McNair perimeter security job.
He holds certifications in OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Certified MEWP Operator, Fall Protection, CPR, AED, Bloodborne Pathogen, First Aid, EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety and Health, and is a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).
Outside of Work: Eric enjoys boating with his family and cooking out.
Favorite Tool: Lineman’s pliers and diagonal cutters (dykes).
Motivation: Seeing satisfied, happy customers.

Henry Diaz
Lead Electrician
Henry has been in the electrical industry since 2006 and brings deep technical expertise to every project. He is a Certified PV Electrical Installer, Certified Tesla Battery Installer, and holds credentials in Construction Safety and Health, Fall Safety Compliance, and Arc Flash Training.
Henry takes pride in training others and believes sharing his knowledge opens doors for others in the trade. His favorite part of the job is helping clients and seeing the satisfaction of a job well done.
Outside of Work: Henry enjoys spending time with family and freshwater fishing.
Fun Fact: He loves restoring old cars and machinery.
Favorite Tool: His trusty pocket knife.

Garrett Buranen
Field Technician
Garrett has worked in the electrical trade for a little over five years, and he takes pride in doing the job right the first time. At DB Electric, he’s known for being steady under pressure and paying close attention to the details that keep every system safe and reliable. His background in both electrical work and emergency operations gives him a practical, safety-first mindset and the kind of hands-on experience that shows in every project he tackles.
His extensive certifications include Firefighter I & II, OSHA 10 & OSHA 30, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and advanced rescue and safety training in trench and confined space operations, hazardous materials handling, vehicle rescue, PPE and SCBA use, and emergency vehicle operation. Garrett is also trained in First Aid, AED, and CPR, and has a foundation in computer science and technical support, allowing him to combine practical fieldwork with technical problem-solving.
He’s especially proud of his work on camera installations across multiple military bases, which required precision, security clearance, and reliability. When he’s not working, Garrett enjoys being on the water or catching up on some much-deserved rest.
Fun Fact: He can sleep anywhere (even standing up)!

Motivation: Knowing he’s providing clients with superior, dependable work.

Jonathon Bruce
Apprentice Electrician (2nd Year)
Jonathon joined DB Electric eager to learn and grow in the trade. With OSHA 10 and PSHA Safety Certification, he’s focused on safety, quality, and energy efficiency.
He’s passionate about hands-on work, learning new techniques daily, and especially enjoys solar-related projects. One of his proudest accomplishments was contributing to a barn facility project, where he watched the work progress from muddy ground to a million-dollar facility.
Outside of Work: Jonathon enjoys time with family, live music, and PC gaming.
Fun Fact: He’s secretly a chef.
Favorite Tools: Impact driver and lineman’s pliers.
Motivation: Gratitude and providing for his family.

John Walker
Electrician (Apprentice)
John is working toward his master electrician’s license and helps with residential design, repairs, and energy-efficient projects. He pays close attention to safety and detail on the job and is gaining experience every day through hands-on work and ongoing electrical training.
